Egg-citing Science’

We’ve been looking at materials and their properties as part of our Science topic

Our task here was to become rocket scientists and design and build a spacecraft to protect our delicate astronauts.

We worked together to produce the best designs we could. We thought long and hard about what materials we could use? What materials would protect the astronauts? How could we help reduce the speed of the craft on re-entry?

We managed to save a lot of our astronauts and learned a lot about materials too! We had a lot of fun leaning that science can be so ‘egg-citing.’

We have also learned a lot about ‘the Human Brain’ and how it works. We learned about the different parts of the brain and what an amazing thing it is! We even managed to make a brain using Salt Dough!

Our next IPC topic is ‘Archaeology’ and we have already found ‘buried treasure’ in the school grounds during our Treasure Hunt. We are looking forward to learning more on this topic and hope to find out how we can become Archaeologists and learn more about our local history at the same time.
