FOSA Mission

FOSA exists to:

• Support student activities that would not otherwise be provided by the school.
   

The FOSA supports the school in communications with parents by:

• Assisting at parents’ evenings

• Orientation of new parents

• Arranging special events

• Providing a channel for communicating the concerns and wishes of the parent body to the school.

• Providing a calendar of social events.

• Raising funds to support various activities.

• Participating in any other activity which supports the school.

FOSA Activities 2006/2007

Term 1:

 
We organised the 5th Ramadan iftar to raise funds for charity and to aid the poor in under-developed areas in Egypt. The event raised LE 10,000 and the donations were coordinated by an official charity organisation, Ginat Al Kholoud.

We helped the school Provided school with different options for outside catering for students and participated in selecting the final caterer.

Term 2:

Helped organise the 3rd annual fun run which raised LE 40, 000 for the children’s cancer hospital and Al-Orman orphanage.

Participated with Al Rehab sports club to host 100 orphans to mark the Arab Orphans day.

As always, FOS welcomes new members to the association and strives to maintain links between parents and the school.
